ABSTRACT
This study
presents data for handedness, arm-folding and hand-clasping. The results
for handedness show clear sex differences that reinforce Geschwind and
Galaburda's theory (Archs. Neurol. 42: 428-459, 1985).
Hand-clasping shows a significant association to a 50:50
distribution, not observed for arm-folding, possibly due to a biological
factor. The variables present no differences from values reported in the
literature, and no significant relationship between the variables was
observed.
Keywords: laterality; handedness; hand-clasping; arm-folding.
