ABSTRACT
Karyotype descriptions of 10 Drosophila species of the annulimana group are presented and phylogenetic relationships are proposed, based on the probable chromosomal rearrangements and on heterochromatin content variations. The karyotypes of three species (D. aracataca, D. dragua and D. schineri) are described for the first time and, for the other species, the karyotypes are redescribed and compared to those already reported in the literature.
Keywords: Karyotypes; Phylogenetic relationships; Drosophila; Annulimana group; Diptera.
