ABSTRACT
Chromosomal data of five species of Stenodermatinae bats including Artibeus planirostris, A. lituratus, A. cinereus, Sturnira lilium and Vampyrops lineatus are presented and compared. The G-banding chromosomal analysis of these species showed a great similarity amongst them, but significant differences concerning the location of nucleolus organizer regions and constitutive heterochromatin patterns were found.
Keywords: G-bands; C-banding; NORs; Stenodermatinae; Chiroptera.
