ABSTRACT
The karyotype of Callicebus moloch moloch (Cebidae, Primates) was studied in 22 animals from Tucuruí, Pará, Brazil. The diploid number is 48 chromosomes. G- and C-banding patterns are presented. The C bands are centromeric, but telomeric bands are also present. At least three acrocentric chromosome pairs are nucleolus organizers, with the NOR located on the distal end of the long arm.
Keywords: karyotype; Callicebus moloch moloch.
